Resolution No. 170 series of 2023
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO REPRESENT AND SIGN FOR THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, THE DEED OF DONATION FOR A FOUNTAIN WITH THE PHILIPPINE CHINESE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY INC. – RIZAL CHAPTER
WHEREAS, Section 5, Article II of the 1987 Constitution provides that, “[t]he maintenance of peace and order, the protection of life, liberty, and property, and the promotion of the general welfare are essential for the enjoyment by all the people of the blessings of democracy”;
WHEREAS, Section 444(b)(1)(vi), Article I of Republic Act (“R.A.”) No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code provides that the Municipal Mayor, upon authorization by the Sangguniang Bayan, may represent the municipality in all its business transactions and sign on its behalf all bonds, contracts, and obligations, and such other documents made pursuant to law or ordinance;
WHEREAS, Section 444(2), Article I of R.A. No. 7160 provides that the Municipal Mayor shall enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the governance of the municipality and the exercise of its corporate powers, and implement all approved policies, programs, projects, services and activities of the municipality;
WHEREAS, Section 444(5), Article I of R.A. No. 7160 provides that the Municipal Mayor shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance;
WHEREAS, the Chinese Community and Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (“PCCCII”) – Rizal Chapter, intends to donate a Fountain to the Municipal Government of Taytay, Province of Rizal;
WHEREAS, consistent with the goal of providing Serbisyong May Ngiti to all Taytayeños, the signing of said Deed of Donation is hereby necessary;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, to AUTHORIZE THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO REPRESENT AND SIGN FOR THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, THE DEED OF DONATION FOR A FOUNTAIN WITH THE PHILIPPINE CHINESE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY INC. – RIZAL CHAPTER.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Office of the Municipal Mayor, and all concerned offices in the Municipal Government of Taytay.
ADOPTED, this 15th day of February 2023, 5:53 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
